Residents deal with cleanup of flooded homes KEY WEST — The winds are gone and the water has receded. Now Keys residents are dealing with the damage left behind by Hurricane Wilma's storm surge.
Flooded cars litter the Keys Hurricane Wilma spared lives, but not vehicles. In less than an hour, storm surge turned the Keys into a car graveyard, with Key West, Marathon and Big Coppitt Key receiving the worst of it.
