Grand reopening

Islamorada Resort Collection held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand reopening of Abel’s Tackle Box and General Goods on Wednesday, March 1. The shop reopened at Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina following damage to its original location due to Hurricane Ian last year. The Islamorada Chamber of Commerce joined the ceremony. Abel’s opened in 1961 as a tackle shop and marina next to what was then Holiday Isle and has served Islamorada for more than 60 years. In addition to offering frozen bait, snacks, apparel and fishing gear, the new location will also include fuel and a marina and boat charter reservation office.
