New home

Pictured at the new home, from left, are Habitat board vice president Mike Puto and board member Dianne Weitz; D’Asign Source vice president Amedeo D’Ascanio, president Franco D’Ascanio and CEO Tony D’Ascanio; Habitat executive director Chris Todd Young and Habitat volunteer coordinator Jill Bell.

D’Asign Source recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity of the Middle Keys to build the organization’s 33rd affordable home for a local couple and their two small children.

D’Asign Source, a family-owned business in the Florida Keys for more than 60 years, donated $175,000 toward the building of the home.

In addition to monetary contributions, the D’Asign Source team volunteered nearly 100 hours to build this home.

The donation by D’Asign Source allowed them to participate in the Florida Community Contribution Tax Credit Program, which provides a credit granted as a refund against state sales and use tax.
