Lucky turtle

The public is invited to watch Lucky Pulse returned to the wild on Friday, July 23, at Sombrero Beach in Marathon.

The Marathon Turtle Hospital will release a wild rehabilitated sea turtle back into the wild on Friday, July 23, and the public is welcome to join.

Lucky Pulse, a juvenile green sea turtle, will be released at Sombrero Beach. The Turtle Hospital ambulance will arrive with Lucky Pulse at 9:30 a.m. and release will be promptly at 10 a.m.

Lucky Pulse was rescued west of Horseshoe Key earlier this year when she was found entangled in trap line with a heavy load of fibropapilloma tumors. The turtle will be fitted with a small transmitter satellite tag.
