The United Way of Collier and the Keys and Publix grocery stores raised $23,235 to help local students.

With the community support, the United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign raised $14,775, and an additional $8,460 was raised through the Publix ‘Tools for Back to School’ initiative in their checkout lines in Monroe County.

The United Way distributed 100% of these funds directly to the schools so that they may purchase the exact supplies their students and classrooms need. In light of COVID-19, this support is needed now more than ever to help children from struggling families and equip schools to safely educate our children, United Way representatives said.
