Gilberto “Gil” Fernando Acosta, 86, passed away on May 9, 2023, at Fernandina Beach, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irene, also of Fernandina Beach, to whom he was always deeply dedicated in life. He was also preceded by parents Fernando and Julia Acosta of Key West, Florida, his brother Paul Crespo of Corpus Christi, Texas, his sister Martha Canalejo of Key West, and special mentor and friend Harold Casterson.
